Quick Fact Card Assembly
How to Assemble Card SWAPS with Beads

Any card SWAPS can be given a little flair by adding beads to the card/pin. It's an easy process I'll explain below using the Aruba Quick Fact SWAPS as an example.

Basic Supplies Necessary

  • the downloadable PDF file for the booklet SWAPS you are making
  • paper and/or cardstock and a printer
  • paper cutter if available
  • scissors
  • embroidery floss/yarn/ribbon
  • pins
  • hole punch
  • beads, if desired

First, you'll need to look through the PDF and determine how pages you will need to print to make your desired number of SWAPS.

Print out the correct number of pages of the document. I recommend printing the cards on cardstock for durability.. You can do everything on regular paper if you're in a pinch.

Gather the rest of your supplies.

Cut apart the cards carefully.

Punch a hole in the upper left corner using a hole punch.

Once your hole is punched, make a Larks Head knot with yarn or embroidery floss.

You can then embellish with beads. Just slip the beads onto the embroidery floss, then tie off with the pin.

Don't forget to  cut the excess off.
